This study aims to determine the effect of Job Design and Communication on Employee
Performance in the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports Mamuju Regency together or
partially and to find out variables that significantly influence employee performance. The
independent variable used in this study is Job Design (X1), Communication (X2). While the
dependent variable is employee performance (Y). The research method used in this study is a
quantitative research method using a sample of 95 respondents. Sampling using Census
techniques. Data analysis methods used in this study are descriptive analysis methods and
multiple linear regression analysis. Data processing is performed using SPSS 20 for Windows
computer software.
F test results in this study indicate the value of sig F is 0,000 <0.005 which means that Job
Design and Communication together have a significant influence on employee performance.
This shows that job design is the most dominant factor influencing employee performance. It is
evident from the research that has been done that shows the beta value for each independent
variable is obtained value, namely for the job design factor (X1) of 1.065 and the beta value for
communication factors (X2) of 0.843. This means that the job design factor (X1) is more
dominant than the communication factor (X2) on employee performance. Based on the
interpretation of the results of data analysis it is known that the hypothesis stating job design
is the most dominant factor influencing the performance of employees in the education, youth,
and sports services in Mamuju Regency.
